HOW DO I BECOME A CAMILLE BECKMAN DEALER?

Thank you for your interest in selling Camille Beckman. We offer limited, not exclusive dealerships and do not allow internet-only dealerships. Please refer to our Dealership Agreement and Credit Application by clicking on their respective links for more detailed information regarding our relationship with our Dealers. Please fill in and submit all requested information. Accounts wishing to open via the internet will be reviewed by customer service or the regional representative responsible for servicing your area. After assessing the saturation of stores in your area, we will contact you.

I HAVE A HOME-BASED BUSINESS. CAN I PURCHASE CAMILLE BECKMAN?

We are sorry, but we generally require that you have a storefront business. Our website refers customers looking for product directly to stores that carry our line. FOR MY FIRST ORDER, WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

Most customers start with two or three fragrances. We have created various pre-packed product assortments that will make it very easy to order. You have two choices using the Online Catalog. You can start with the fragrance of your choice and hand select all of the items you wish or you may select one of our best-selling Pre Packs. Best-selling fixtures to showcase your products are available with the free merchandise you receive for purchasing our fixture.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN SUCH HIGH, CONSISTENT QUALITY CONTROL?

Quality control is extremely important to Camille Beckman. We built our existing facility so we would have all operations under one roof. Most of the products we sell are produced and packaged at this facility.

Our multi-stage quality control starts the moment raw materials arrive at our warehouse and continues through pre-production, production, and post-production.  From each batch produced we take three (3) samples.

• Sample #1 is used for in-house quality testing. We test for the proper viscosity, pH, color, fragrance, and other applicable factors.
• Sample #2 is sent to an outside microbiology lab for testing. Each batch is checked and pumped only after it has passed all the quality checks.
• What happens to Sample #3? It is put away and saved for three years. Should a problem be reported, we can quickly research the problem with our saved batch sample.

Most of our products are produced in 14 to 20 different fragrances. Each product requires its own production run, or, as we call it, a 'batch'. Producing a batch of product begins with the ingredients. When we receive the raw materials, they are initially checked for quality by our QA (Quality Assurance) person. Only after passing this check, do the ingredients go into our inventory. When we are ready to produce a batch, each ingredient is precisely measured according to our proprietary formulas for each product.

Water

One of the keys to producing a consistently high quality product is starting with a pure water source. Camille Beckman has invested in some of the most advanced water purification equipment available. Artesian well water is first filtered through carbon filters. Then it is sent through water softeners and from there it goes through a reverse osmosis (R.O.) process. The R.O. process removes most of the solids. Typically the water goes from about 180 parts per million to 6 or 7 parts per million. Then the water goes through deionizing resin beds (D.I.) which take out the remaining solids. As a final step, the water passes through an ultraviolet filter. The result, known as polished water, is now ready to use in our products. Any water not needed at that time is circulated beneath our floor through a series of pipes - keeping us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. When exiting the building this pure water returns to nature and flows underground to a large pond on the property.

Equipment

Batches are produced in double-jacketed, stainless steel mixing kettles and produce about 1,300 pounds of product per batch. Most of our equipment was custom designed for Camille Beckman. The double-jacketed kettle allows us to heat the container with hot water and, at other times, flush it with cool water.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF YOUR PRODUCTS?

The products have enough preservative to maintain a 30 month shelf life.

DO YOU USE ANIMAL PRODUCTS OR DO ANIMAL TESTING?

We conduct no animal testing, unless you consider friends and family members. We use lanolin, which is a by-product from wool, in our Coronet Cream and Lip Balm. We hope you enjoy our products and thank you for your interest in Camille Beckman.

I HAVE SOME FRENCH VANILLA PRODUCT AND NOTICED THAT THE COLOR HAS DARKENED OVER TIME. IS THE PRODUCT STILL USABLE?

We use vanillin in the fragrance of French Vanilla. You may have noticed that when you purchase cooking vanilla in the store that it is always brown. That is because it has started to oxidize. It has no adverse effect on the quality when used in cooking or in our hand cream. We like the nice pale yellow color ourselves and have a few trade secrets to keep it from turning chocolate brown. Please know that some oxidation will occur and from time to time a batch will turn caramel in color.

HOW CAN I OBTAIN MORE OF A DISCONTINUED FRAGRANCE OR PRODUCT?

Thank you for your inquiry. We know that everyone has a favorite fragrance. Unfortunately, we find that we need to discontinue products and/or fragrances from time to time. The two most commonly asked for fragrances are Cucumber and Ivy and Apricots. If you are patient we can tell you how to make a jar of Glycerine Hand Therapy!™ in these fragrances. Start with our Unscented Vitamin E products and customize them using one of our 48 roll-on perfumes. Carefully remove the roller and add some of the perfume into the neutral base and stir.

I LIVE IN THE MIDWEST AND CANNOT FIND CACTUS BLOSSOM OR DESERT NECTAR. CAN YOU HELP ME?

We continue to make both Cactus Blossom and Desert Nectar. Both are part of our Southwestern line. The fragrance used in Cactus Blossom is the same as White Lilac and the fragrance used in Desert Nectar is the same as Orange Cream. They are merely labeled for appeal in the Southwestern region of the U.S. Now you know our deepest secrets. Thanks for your interest in Camille Beckman. P.S.: Years ago, the Desert Nectar was created using the Apricots fragrance.

CAN I OBTAIN OTHER PRODUCTS IN THE SAME FRAGRANCES AS YOUR ROLL-ON PERFUMES?

Our Roll-On products match some of the current fragrances. If you like, you can put a few drops in our Unscented Vitamin E Glycerine Hand Therapy!™ or Silky Body Cream and create your own custom-scented product.

REGARDING CHARITABLE EVENTS: DO YOU EVER MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS AVAILABLE AT A REDUCED PRICE TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND SCHOOLS?

Yes, we have an option for charities to purchase our popular 1/4 ounce jars of Glycerine Hand Therapy!™ for fundraising events. Charities are allowed to buy the pursettes in 24 count boxes.  Each jar costs $1.00 and can be sold or given away as the charity wishes. Most charities will use them as a fund raiser and ask for a donation. When there is a need expressed to our Corporate Office, we will first  try to take your order and set you up with a local dealer in order to build community spirit. If we are unable to find a local store to accommodate your request in a timely manner, we will process your order form directly from the national testing store. WHAT ABOUT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT CAMILLE BECKMAN?

Camille Beckman has a wide variety of jobs requiring various levels of experience and skills. The positions include production, shipping, customer service, and the many office functions associated with a company our size. For the time being, we have plenty of rosebud-making contractors.
